I have to start off by saying how impressed I am with the UK for the quality science fiction related shows they have been producing over the years. First we have them to thank for saving Battlestar Galactica. After the BSG mini series orginally flopped it was SkyOne who put up the funding to produce Season 1, they also revived Doctor Who and brought us the amazing Torchwood spin off. Now they bring us Being Human, which is pretty amazing. A Vampire, Werewolf and a Ghost coping with living and dealing with their issues. Tune in this Saturday and give it a shot. | Share |

Roven and his partners acquired rights to the Japanese title from World Events Productions, a St. Louis-based company that has held those rights for more than two decades. Wanted producer Jason Netter of Kickstart Entertainment and World Events' Ted Koplar are joining the Atlas trio in producing. This is amazing to hear but I do worry a bit about the fact that Wanted producer is taking the helm. I wasn't a huge fan of Wanted. I personally would like to see more anime get the comic book treatment like RoboTech. Which Animes would you like to see become full live action films?

I just bought the Transformers Complete Series: Matrix of Leadership Edition. The box looks pretty sweet with 16 dvds, a booklet and some magnets. I wonder if the animated movie comes in the box, but regardless I already have the movie on dvd. Anyone else have this edition? My review is coming soon, I should have the DVDs in 2 days.| Share |
Harry Potter opens with $159.7 million in its first five days. That is crazy. What's even crazier is that Transformers is still king for largest opening this year. Did anyone actually like Transformers? What did you think about Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince?
